A rare turn up for the books, Lot 4, a Coral bookmakers stand, also known as a 'bookmakers joint', will be offered for sale at The Grantham Auction Rooms on 6th February 2013.
The vendor will be donating all the proceeds from the sale to Children in Need.
The stand has been used by the vendor throughout his career with Coral and has featured at horseracing meets, major snooker championships, bowls tournaments and rugby championships.
He stated: "I started working for Coral in 1971. In that time I've travelled all around the country with the stand. Over 40 years later I decided the time has come to say goodbye. I can't think of a more worthy cause than Children in Need. It's my favourite charity; I think all the children in the world deserve a better deal in life."
Auctioneers, Golding Young & Mawer will be auctioning the lot off at zero commission on behalf of the vendor. Principal auctioneer and valuer, Colin Young and saleroom manager Andrew Doubleday, both fully support Children in Need. Young stated: "Andrew and I have both been involved with the Round Table organization for a number of years and have spent many hours rattling tins for this worthwhile charity."
