Bourne sale preview Image

With nearly 1000 lots across two days, ranging from high caliber watches to a Smeg fridge freezer (lot 14), you do not want to miss the sale at Bourne this month.

If you are in the market for a car, three will go under the hammer on the 14th: a Peugeot 208, sold with a valid MOT until the 23rd and only 35,946 miles on the clock, a Hyundai I10 and a 1.6litre Nissan Qashqai (lots 11, 12 and 12a).

A fine collection of port and wine consigned by a private vendor and collected over many years also features in the sale. Highlights include five bottles of Warre’s 1970 Tercentenary port (lot 542), and seven bottles of W&G Graham’s Malvedos 1979 port (lot 544).

If you would like to get your Christmas presents sorted nice and early, or maybe treat yourself, we have a single owner consignment of five Rolex watches in the sale. The four ladies examples comprise: an Oyster Perpetual Datejust diamond set watch with a white baton dial and diamond set outer bezel, an Oyster Perpetual date watch with gold coloured baton dial and bicolour bracelet, an Oyster Perpetual Datejust diamond set watch with a diamond set face and outer bezel, and a further Oyster Perpetual date with a blue face and stainless steel strap. You are spoilt for choice.

The gentleman’s Rolex I also expect will prove popular on saleday, being an Oyster Perpetual date with a silvered dial and yellow metal case marked 14KT. If vintage watches are more to your taste take a look at lot 6, a very pretty Rolex Precision gold cased watch, on a curb link bracelet strap and weighing 17g all in.

A former signwriters collection of gold leaf books is an interesting section within next weeks sale (lot 387-395), perfect for furniture and picture restorers, or they may even make their way back to another signwriter! If you are planning on decorating a child’s nursery in the coming months, you may be interested in lot 359, a 1960s/70s bolt of fabric and a pair of curtains by Fothergay decorated with Noddy and friends.

If you would like to take a closer look at the items mentioned above please visit the sale catalogue here or pop along to viewing on Tuesday 13th October at our Bourne saleroom between 10am-4pm. The sale on the 14th and 15th October starts at 9am, with viewing 8.30am-9am on saledays.
