John is an associate member of The Society of Fine Art Auctioneers and has over 30 years experience as a an Auctioneer & Valuer.
He started his professional career with Dreweatt's in Newbury and upon merger with Neales of Nottingham he then became a Director of the firm.
He joined Thos. Mawer & Son in 2009 just before the merger with Golding Young in 2010.
John's expertise and cataloguing skills has overseen many Marquee and Country House sales including our Orston Hall, Waddington Manor and Newbold Pacey Hall sales.
From 2013 to 2028 John is actively engaged as a member of the team undertaking a world-wide antiques valuation program including collections across Europe and America for HM Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
He is principally based at The Lincoln Auction Rooms, although he is available by appointment at all of our offices and for visits with clients throughout the UK.
From December 2021 John also returned to heading operations at our Louth office as part of his role.
