The market for Victorian stripped pine had always been exceptional through the 1980's and 1990's. The intervening years saw it fall down and out of favour for a while but in the post Covid era bidders have returned to loving this furniture once more.
Part of the clearance from the Manor House at Market Overton in Leicestershire was a Victorian stripped pine dresser selling for £440 (lot 21 14th January 2026) and a kitchen or dairy dresser base (lot 22 14th January 2026) selling for £900.
