An almost hedonistic pleasure, the after-dinner cognac goes hand in hand with Remy Martin, who is renowned as the King of Cognacs. Offered for sale at the Grantham Auction Rooms in May 2013, is Lot 184, a rare trio of Cognacs by Remy Martin, produced to celebrate the third millennium.
The first in the trio is a limited edition of the Louis XIII de Remy Martin Rendez Vous in an exquisitely handcrafted baccarat crystal decanter. Only 2000 bottles were produced and Lot 184 is bottle 302 of 2000.
Remy Martin put their special Rendez Vous edition together with a Remy Martin XO Special and Remy Martin Extra all in a beautiful presentation box and accompanying literature. A thing of beauty this Remy Martin trio comes with a stunning oak display plinth and six cellarmasters crystal glasses.
Saleroom Manager Andrew Doubleday had this to say about the lot: "Remy Martin is the finest cognac in the world and this display of three of their finest cognacs is stunning to behold. The attention to detail of the bottles, the presentation box and the literature shows its class."
