The collective sale at The Lincoln Auction Rooms on Wednesday 18th March will attract much attention. With a wide variety on offer from a large client base, there really will be something for everyone. Entries have come from deceased estates and private clients ranging from Carlton Le Moorland, Louth, Woodhall Spa, Lincoln and surrounding villages. We have items such as longcase clocks, fine jewellery, violins, a collection of Royal Crown Derby paperweights, period Victorian and Edwardian furniture, radio valves, and much, much more...
There are a number of highlights within the sale; Lot 1 is a Victorian silver gilt statue, in the form of a lady. This item appeared on one of our Friday appraisal mornings and was manufactured by William and John Barnard.
From small items to large pieces of furniture there are many items to be desired. Lot 31 is a Victorian mahogany library bookcase, the top with a moulded cornice above three glaze doors, enclosing adjustable shelves, the base with three panelled sliding doors on a plinth. This is a particular favourite with it grandeur and elegance and it is an item not to be missed. If you are a collector of the smaller items there is a large selection of Royal Crown Derby animal paperweights, including a Siamese cat, elephant, turtle and many others.
A large silver and jewellery section is also included in our sale highlights; from Victorian mourning jewellery to George III silver there really is a wide variety for a range of budgets.
The sale will be held on Wednesday 18th March at The Lincoln Auction Rooms, commencing at 10am. Viewing is on Tuesday 17th March from 10am-4pm and sale morning from 8.30am-10am. We look forward to seeing you there!
