We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic person that is not looking for a job but is looking for a career. The current role will include assisting clients face to face, booking in items to sell, processing paperwork, photographing articles to be sold and being capable to undertake the physical requirements of handling large and heavy furniture when required. The ideal candidate will have the positive characteristics of being able to see and act on the minor detail that others around them often miss.
This role is expected to be a stepping stone for someone that shows initiative to then become a Saleroom Manager. When this transition happens, we will invest in the costs of your course work, exams and subscriptions and offer full support for training to become a member of the National Association of Valuers & Auctioneers (NAVA Propertymark).
The initial role will start at £9.50 per hour rising to £10.42 during the trial period and increasing accordingly with career progression.
Role and Career Path Summary:
This is the exact same job in the same building that started the career of the company’s senior auctioneer and managing director.
Those are the opportunities this role can offer to the right candidate with the right attitude and work ethic.
Working Hours:
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week based around our opening times of Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm although this role will require overtime within the team to ensure auction sales are prepared and delivered on time and deadlines met.
