A Victorian silver horse racing trophyA Victorian silver horse racing trophy, the tapering border cast with patera, above a gadrooned band and a scene cast with racehorses within an Oriental landscape, on an inverted baluster stem with leaf cast domed foot, engraved Juvenile Races Burrough Hill February 10th 1887, Stewards the Duke of Rutland, the Earl of Lonsdale, the Honourable Alan Pennington, Major Stirling and Major Gandy, the Wicklow Lodge Cup won by Mr J G Hills, 'Tommy', this pony died at the age of 40 years, London 1868, 27ozs, 37cm high.
